This Easter season, why not make it a family affair? Celebrating Easter with kids is an opportunity to make special memories that will last a lifetime. There are plenty of fun and meaningful ways for parents and children to mark the holiday together. From religious services to egg hunts to arts and crafts projects, you can create an unforgettable experience for your little ones.

When attending church or another type of religious service, keep kids engaged by emphasising how Jesus died for our sins and rose again on Easter Sunday. You can also explain why we give thanks on this day by talking about the new life He brought us. Don’t forget to point out the fact that Jesus always loves us no matter what.

For egg hunt lovers out there, why not mix up traditional activities with some creative alternatives? For example, try hiding eggs filled with Bible verses instead of candy and treats. Or have children recite a verse before they get their reward. To add more fun to the festivities, consider having different age groups search for colorful eggs in different areas of the house or backyard.

Arts and crafts activities are a great way to help children express their faith while exploring creativity at the same time. Try making resurrection gardens out of potted plants, paper plate angel wings, or wax resist crosses! If you’re looking for something simpler yet equally memorable, have children decorate hard-boiled eggs as symbols of new life in Christ.

Easter is an incredibly special time of year and celebrating it with your kids can be just as rewarding as it is enjoyable. Whether you choose religious services or secular activities like egg hunts or arts and crafts projects, take this opportunity to make this holiday about connecting with each other over shared beliefs in God’s love and grace.
