True Love on Valentine’s Day – Greg Laurie

In a society where we use the word ‘love’ so much, do we actually know what true love is?

Many people simply don’t want to make themselves vulnerable to true love.  When you love someone you can be hurt as there are a lot of emotions that come with love, but it certainly is worth it.  Allowing yourself to be vulnerable to receiving God’s love is the key to showing God’s love to those around us.

God's love is active and was displayed on the cross. Because He loved us first, our response should be to love God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength. When we love God as we should, He will lead us to love others and everything will find its place.

In the video sermon above Greg talks about three areas of love:

  • The love God has for you
  • The love we ought to have for God
  • The love we should have for one another

If you ever feel unworthy of love, remember that the God who created the universe loves you just as much as He loves His Son, Jesus Christ.
