Visionathon is such a special event, where we get the wonderful opportunity to share the stories of what God is doing in people’s lives all across Australia. And the fact that we get to share the Gospel with people who otherwise might never hear it is such a blessing.
Tim from Adelaide found himself in a very dark place recently. He was in what he calls a dead end job, feeling miserable and not knowing where to turn.
‘I wanted to crash my car so I didn’t even have to go to work,’ says Tim. ‘The people got under my skin and I was just in a dead end job. One day I was listening to Michael Yousef before my shift started, and it gave me that nudge to just talk and be there for one more day.’
Tim appreciates that Vision can bring hope through what’s transmitted on the radio. It gave him the boost that he needed to keep going.
‘Now I listen to you through your podcast series. I still listen to Dr Michael, and it just connects with me. Now I have a job that I really enjoy, and God is working through me with other people. Vision helped me to hang in there, and keep going for one more day.’
Most of us have experienced what it’s like to be in a desperate place where you can’t see a way out. But God sees the bigger picture for us, and that is hope. If we lean in and trust His promises, He’s actually got something good for us on the other side.
Wouldn’t you love to be part of more stories like Tim’s, knowing that you are helping bring hope and healing to people when they need it most?
Together with Vision, you can shine your light for God by being a positive influence in the world and spreading love and kindness wherever you go!
