Sara Martin, a counsellor from Birkdale in Queensland, finds strength and preparation for her day through The Word for Today and Vision’s podcasts. These resources help her run a small group, and she often finds the content aligns with themes in her and her clients’ lives, providing wisdom and insight to guide others.
‘My morning ritual is to read The Word for Today and just have a bit of reflection time,’ says Sara. ‘It’s part of my self-care ritual in terms of grounding and getting a sense of discernment before I step into the room.’
For Sara, giving to Visionathon is so important because a lot of people are being spiritually fed by the ministry. ‘Most people give to their church or a number of Christian charities,’ she says. ‘But my thinking with Vision is, where do I get my inspiration from? I’ve been reading The Word For Today for over a decade now.’
Sara believes that for good content to continue being developed, we need to actually sow into it. ‘That’s where I’ve decided to direct my giving,’ she says.
Sara is also an extra mile partner, but always likes to give a bit more when Visionathon comes around. ‘Vision is a source of growth and where I get my inspiration from,’ she says.
‘Thank you, Vision.’
