Sevda from Tasmania joined DJ, Becci, Felicia and Phil Edwards on Rise and Shine to share her story about her six-year-old son who got saved by listening to Vision when they were driving home from the park.

‘We tuned the radio on to Vision, as usual, and my son was at the back listening. He is six years old. His name is Elijah. So, the pastor was finishing his preaching, and towards the end, he was calling everyone who wants to accept Jesus as his Lord and Saviour to pray with him. And he said these words. “It’s never too early to receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, even if you’re six years old.” My son was sitting at the back of the car looking at me, listening and then the pastor was praying, so my son eventually prayed as well. It’s amazing how God works through things like radio. It’s just wonderful,’ said Sveda.

Sevda migrated from Russia and discovered Vision through a Christian friend whose daughter is obsessed with Vision. Instead of listening to worldly music, her friend’s daughter listens to Christian music because she enjoys Vision’s choice of music. It not only has a good beat but also great Christian lyrics. She turns Vision on every morning and listens to the Biblical teaching podcasts, as well.

Sevda’s  kids love to listen to Vision Kids, a new channel launched in August to help young kids grow in their knowledge of the Bible.

Vision Kids ticks all the boxes. Instead of watching TV and getting corrupted by worldly influences, it’s better to listen to Christian music and sermons, getting the Word in you. We have to hear the Word in order for our faith to grow,’ said Sevda.

‘God wants us to prosper in all aspects of our lives. If we go to Genesis 22:8-14, it says:

“And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.

Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood.

And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

But the Angel of the LORD called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” So he said, “Here I am.”

And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided.”’

Sevda is passionate about God’s Word. She believes in God’s promises of provision and blessings.

‘God has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. This Word for prosperity is Shalom, which means more than just peace. It means complete welfare, safety, health, and prosperity. All of these things,’ said Sevda. Luke 6:38 says:

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

‘So, in summary, as we meet the conditions by giving towards the work of the Lord, God will meet His condition and give it to us and prosperous us,’ said Sveda.

We hand over our money for all sorts of things every day without giving it a second thought. It might be to buy a cup of coffee, put petrol in the car, or go out for lunch.
