Retired high school teacher Vicki Gracen loves the Vision app for its daily inspiration and accessibility in rural areas. ‘There is always thought-provoking input,’ she says. ‘It is so good that small country areas have access to Vision Radio and Christian music and teaching.’
For many years as a teacher, Vicki found herself posted in remote areas where it was difficult to attend church regularly or be part of a home group. ‘But The Word For Today was always there.’ Vicki recently rediscovered 20 years’ worth of TWFT collections and says that they are just as relevant today as when they were first written.
In her retirement, Vicki continues to support gospel promotion through financial contributions and enjoys Vision’s broadcasts. ‘I love the Vision app,’ she says. ‘It’s so good just to hear the word of God. One of the biggest blessings that I’ve found is that I could turn on the word of God and listen to it.’
Vicki says she loves listening to Vision while she’s doing chores like washing up and ironing. ‘You hear things that you don’t pick up when you read. But to hear it through the medium of the radio, along with the music and The Word For Today, it’s brilliant.’
Vicki has a heart for rural communities, and has been a faithful supporter of Vision for many years. ‘I can’t go to share the gospel, but I can support from behind the scenes and share the financial blessing God has given me to promote the Gospel of Jesus and watch His love shared on the airwaves.’
