We Need To Pray And Act

Wednesday, May 11th, 2016

Dear friends and readers,

We know from Scripture and from history that, whenever people earnestly seek God in prayer and put their faith into action, He moves.

Today we’re seeing pockets of revival in Africa and America—with the recent Greg Laurie crusade in LA. People coming together in repentance and prayer, and seeing God move.

I firmly believe God has raised up Vision Christian Media as a beacon of hope and a trusted prophetic voice to our nation.

‘Once again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.’  Matthew 13:47–48 NIV

Today a very large net drags in millions of people, every moment of every day—it’s the InterNet! If Facebook were a country, it would be the largest country in the world*.
But I ask you, who is sending people to the Internet to be missionaries there with the Good News of Jesus?

Perry Atkinson, a good friend and fellow Christian broadcaster from the US, shared with me this very powerful Bible verse.

‘And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God, saying, “I was found by people who were not looking for Me. I showed Myself to those who were not asking for Me.”’ Romans 10:20 NIV

Can you see how that fits the opportunity we have right now? Millions of people are tuning in to the radio, or looking online for all sorts of different things, and God is revealing Himself to them, even when they’re not looking for Him!

The Apostle Paul sums it up like this in Romans 10:13–15 NKJV:

‘Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed?
How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard?
And how will they hear without a preacher?
How will they preach unless they are sent?

Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring Good News!”’

God’s Word brings Hope and Truth and Salvation.

We desperately need to see a fresh move of God in our nation. And we know God moves when His people pray and act.

Next week we’re hosting and promoting a number of special events in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and from the heart of our country, Alice Springs. These events will inspire people to use the keys God has given us for a fresh national revival: Prayer and Action.

Right now I would like to ask you to do two things:

1. Please stop and pray with us for wisdom; protection from the enemy; and for favour.

2. Please talk to your friends about Vision’s ministry and what it gives them:

The Word for Today, Vision180 youth devotional and radio stream, our free app, our fresh new websites, our national radio, prayer ministry, tours, and resource store services are all dedicated to bringing the Gospel message to every Australian.

May the Lord bless you as you partner with us and with Him. Together, God willing, we will see a new, fresh and mighty move of God across our land… Hallelujah!

In his strong and mighty Name,

Ian Worby
Regional Director—Australia, Asia Pacific

PS Your partnership is a great example of what can be achieved when God’s people work together. Let’s pray for even more impact in the months to come.
