Craig from Balaclava SA is a father of eight living on a disability benefit since separating from his wife 3 years ago. He shares about his faith journey and how he loves The Story on Vision because it helps remind him that others have even harder journeys than him.

The end of Craig’s marriage after 26 years came as quite a shock to him. “When my wife and I split up, she wouldn’t even talk to me. But that’s okay because I came to God just after going through the separation,” says Craig.
Craig tells us that he met his now Pastor outside of a grocery store of all places. “He’s a lovely fellow, and he’s actually a friend now not just my Pastor. I’ve got two very close friends that I met because of that separation. I came to church about 3 three weeks after that, and I haven’t left since. Then back in October 2019, I got baptised.”

Craig is so thankful to Vision for being there for him during his most difficult times, and he listens almost 24 hours a day! “I’m so thankful for you guys because you just encourage me and lift me up. Sometimes I have bad days but because of Vision, the songs and the music, and the testimonies, I keep getting lifted up. I’m just so thankful. If I hadn’t found Vision 3 years ago, I don’t know where I would be. Vision is just so God loving and the testimonies that come out are wonderful.”

Craig is also part of a men’s ministry group at Lighthouse Church in Balaclava that shares devotions together and has discussions about God. “I love hearing other people’s stories,” says Craig. “It reminds me that there are people going through even harder things than me.”

“Thank you, Vision.”
