Working Miracles

In one day the Vision family helped restore sight to over 6000 people who could never afford to help themselves.

With so many things going on in the world right now, how wonderful for the soul to be part of something like Miracles Day! It is a testimony to the faith of our Vision family that the poor and the marginalised have not been forgotten. In fact, more people than ever were inspired to respond this year!

This year’s Miracles Day provided a much-needed opportunity to bring hope and healing to people who are needlessly living with blindness overseas. It was a privilege to partner with CBM once again and be a part of breaking the cycle of poverty in some of the poorest nations in the world.

For children living in poverty, the miracle of sight-saving surgery can change their lives forever. It means that they can attend school and regain their independence, and improves their long-term outcomes of finding a job and being able to look after themselves. Every child should have the right to access basic medical care, no matter where they live.

Miracles Day 2021 was also a great show of unity amongst Australia’s Christian media, with almost every Christian station working together on the one day to see a combined 50,000+ “Miracles” take place—in fact in the 13 years since it started there have now been more than 250,000 people set free from blindness because of Miracles Day! (and it all started right here on Vision with “Miracles Monday” way back 2008).

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in Miracles Day. We are humbled by your willingness to respond and share the love of Jesus with those who need it most.
