A New Year with New Opportunities

Dear friends,

Every New Year brings new opportunities.

In 2022 will you take the opportunity to worry, or the opportunity to trust God? Will you take steps to develop your faith, or are you happy to stay put (or worse, go backwards—perhaps without even realising it)?

In Psalm 37:3–5 NLT, David gives a great reminder of how we are to live each day;

‘Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you.’

Remember, lasting change usually happens in the small decisions, so I encourage you to commit to getting God’s Word deeper into your heart and mind in 2022.

One easy way to help you with that is by reading and pondering on the daily devotions fromThe Word for Today (and the daily ‘SoulFood’ Bible readings). If you’re not already one of our avid readers, consider beginning this year by subscribing to our free print edition sent every quarter to your mailbox, or to your email inbox every day. I hope they are a blessing to you.

In Christ,

Everyone Needs to Hear the Gospel

EVERYONE. The Lord is “not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9 NIV) That means the people we like and those we don’t. People we agree with and those with whom we clash. People just like us, and those radically different. Everyone. “How, then, can they call on the …Read More
