Like many people, I’ve been thinking a lot about the drought. It is affecting so many, like Vision radio listeners Jeffrey and Tricia Agar—they’ve been in drought for six years:
‘We have a sheep, wool and cattle station in SW Queensland. We are waiting on a knife’s edge for the healing, drought-breaking, dam-filling, grass-growing rains to fall over all of the parched areas. Please agree with us in prayer that our Lord will move in a mighty way across this dry land and heal the people’s heart and heal the land.’
It is hard going at times, but Jeffrey and Tricia draw strength from God and His Word:
‘Many people have no more tears left. We pray for a move of God.
I thank God for Vision bringing hope and life into the outback. Thank you for your faithfulness to the hungry and the thirsty.’
How amazing that together we get to help people like Jeffrey and Tricia, right in the thick of it.
Thanks to the help of our supporters, Vision brings good news every day to hundreds of thousands of people nationwide—on dusty farms, in the big cities, and everywhere in between.
So many are searching for hope and certainty, chasing things that seem good but in reality just lead to dead-ends. The spiritual drought is as real as the physical one!
Your support means Vision can bring truth spoken with love, leading many to living water:
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord… He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
– Jeremiah 17:7–8 ESV
This year is a significant one for Vision
I recently stumbled upon the notes of the very first official meeting of Vision’s founders, held in December 1988. Vision started with just four men and two women with a simple dream.
30 years later, the Vision family is having a large and growing impact, and now we’re asking:
Our strong sense is that God is leading us to enlarge our tent, stretch out the ropes and deepen the stakes, as He did with the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 54:2).
Specifically, the time has come for us to secure a new, bigger home to enable the ministry’s continued growth and impact—our current location has served us well for the past 17 years but we’re now at capacity.
You can read more about this ‘stretching step of faith’ in our latest edition of Vision Today.
Please pray for us as we seek God’s wisdom, guidance and provision for the ministry, and that He will use us to bring life, redemption and transformation to all of Australia.
Blessings to you,
Chief Executive Officer
PS Your financial support today will help Vision to continue bringing life and hope across Australia, including to a large number of drought-affected communities. Please also join us as together we pray for rain and for our nation throughout the month of October.
