Fighting for our Families

“if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? Psalm 11:3 NKJV

Every day we hear reports of more attacks on our traditional Aussie family values, on integrity in government, and on integrity in business.

In 1901 over 90% of Australia’s population considered themselves “Christian” whereas today only 8% regularly attend church and about 50% of Australians born since 1985 have never even been inside a church!*

What has happened?

The sanctity of marriage (once a foundation of our society) and the freedom to express our Christian faith in our schools and workplaces have fallen victim to apathy, moral relativism and political correctness. All but slamming the door in the face of the Judeo-Christian values our country was built on.

Fewer and fewer of our national, civic and (in some cases) church leaders are standing up and speaking out.

How did we get here?

The media holds a massive influence in our society and unfortunately much of its power is focused on deliberately advancing this deleterious values transformation.

We all have a responsibility before God to speak about Jesus and fight for the values of democracy, freedom of speech, and the Judeo-Christian principles of honesty, honour, loyalty, family values, patriotism, religious faith and respect for the state!

What and who is going to stand against this and fight for our families?

I believe that God has raised up UCB as one standard against this flood. Isaiah 59:19

For over 20 years UCB has been passionately pursuing our God-given vision of providing Trusted Christian Media that boldly and uncompromisingly proclaims the timeless unchanging truth that Faith, Hope and Encouragement are found only in God’s Word. Motivating and challenging our people to live out their faith in their communities; as salt and light, through a real, dynamic and personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour; Jesus Christ.

Together with you and our other passionate, faithful, praying and generous supporters we are creating a modern day legacy for this and the coming generation. But we can’t rest on our past achievements or take what we have for granted, this is really just the beginning. We believe God has so much more for us to achieve if we are going to really make a measurable difference in turning the tide of the godlessness and secularisation of our nation.

It’s going to take some serious and significant ongoing prayerful and financial investment to not only keep what we have established but also to continue to develop, expand and strategically target our next generation.

As we approach June 30, and the end of our financial year, we’ve written to all our friends to ask they do what you’ve just done through Visionathon. To prayerfully consider making a significant and intentional investment into this God-inspired media mission.

You can be confident that your donation will make an eternal difference in the lives of countless men, women and children of this nation and the nations in our region, not just for today; but also for the future. I know there are many worthwhile projects where you could invest your money and we’re thankful you’ve chosen to stand with us.

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who wins souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30

Thank you for your partnership with me and the UCB team and may God bless you as you continue to pray with us.

PS One promise of God is “Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness;” 2 Corinthians 9:10 NKJV therefore we can all have confidence in Jehovah Jireh.
