Privileged to share the Good news

As we prepare for another full year of ministry through trusted Christian Media I am curiously anticipating it to be another year of stretching, expansion and learning as we contend with the challenges of living in a world of constant change and uncertainty.

I give praise to the great God we serve, who we can put our trust and confidence in, because “He changes Not”. Mal 3:6

I love the way we are privileged to share the Good news of Jesus with those who need a timely word of encouragement and hope, because we can build our lives of the Rock of truth found in God’s Word.

This year as we remember the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli as well as the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII and we prepare for Easter where we celebrate Jesus being our Passover lamb, I am inspired and encouraged by the picture of great personal sacrifice as shown by our forefathers who spilt blood on foreign soil, to secure our freedom, and of our Lord, whose shed blood was given for the remission of our sin and to purchase our salvation.

In the words of Jesus…

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

I am also mindful that we at UCB and Vision can’t do what we do without the prayers, positive encouragement and sacrificial financial gifts to keep the ministry going and growing.

As you read the reports and articles in this edition of UCB Today, please remember to pray for me and the wonderful team of UCB staff and volunteers as we trust the lord for the provision to see 50 new Vision Radio services established this year, along with the launch of our 3 point Youth Initiative to reach and develop the next generation, through a new online Youth radio channel, the launch of our fresh new look daily Youth Devotional, via print, online and mobile apps, as well as our “Dare to be a Daniel”, joint project with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to disciple and equip 15,000 young Australians between 10 and 14 years of age.

Together with God as our provider, we can demonstrate our Love for Gods people, by serving with joy and passion through excellence in innovation through the technology given to us, to build and change lives for good across Australia in Jesus name.

I look forward to seeing your faithful and practical support as the Lord leads and supplies.

Every Blessing in the strong and mighty name of Jesus,

Ian Worby
