Remaining Faithful to our Call to share the Gospel

Dear friends,

Here’s a really uplifting story.

In late 2021 we had a glimpse into the life of a precious lady you have been helping through your support of Vision. Her situation is sensitive, so for the purpose of this letter we’ll call her Sarah. Her story really touched my heart.

“My brother introduced me to Vision Christian Radio many years ago when he found you guys during a divorce. The music, the constant words of truth from God, all of the sermons, all of the tools you provide for help and constantly pointing to God have kept me alive.

“I have emailed and called many times for prayer with the team as support through my own relationship of abuse. God is still answering your prayers daily as he heals me through the mental suffering and the constant struggle of me trying to get through every day. It is only possible in the Word of God. I couldn’t do it any other way.

“The music you play (on Vision Christian Radio) plus The Word for Today are just so on point every day for what I am going through. Also the humour. I love a good laugh and it hasn’t been often that I can do this. Laughing while listening to all of you guys—Becci and Robbo in the morning and Matt Prater with his silly dad jokes.

“[I love] the sermons from all the amazing pastors—you guys are even perfect for the days that I am so low I find it really hard to read the Word, but listening to all the beautiful Scripture and messages on the radio with you is just beautiful and perfect. I can’t thank you all enough for being the Godly family that I have needed to get through one of the biggest challenges of my Life.

“I’m so thankful to be free and safe but not alone. I had to turn my life upside down to get out, leaving all of my friends and my furry babies behind. It’s really hard to start again but my Vision family is still here and you are just such a blessing.

“Praise God for your steady faith in Him and most of all for ensuring all the content is God-breathed. I know everything on Vision is worth listening to and I never feel like I need to turn it off—you are so careful to talk without cursing and not putting songs or info that isn’t praising God or pointing to His truth. The music even carries the Word and this is just so uplifting.

“I can see all of you are committed daily to being obedient to God. I pray for all of you to stay true to the Word in a society that is constantly trying to pull us away from the Word. So thank you, I just feel so blessed in the daily gifts God is providing through Vision.”

God’s Word is alive and powerful! Stories like Sarah’s never cease to amaze me—as does the fact that together we have been helping her for some time, even though we didn’t know.

There sure is a lot going on around us that is trying to steal our attention away from following God’s call, but I am confident that we will hear more stories like Sarah’s as we remain faithful to our call to share the truth and hope of God’s Word, and continue to pray for revival in the heart of every Australian.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 NIV

Thank you in advance for your continued partnership throughout 2022—it is an honour to work together as a beacon of truth and hope in Australia.

God bless you,

Phil Edwards,
Chief Executive Officer

PS Please also pray for our team this year—we’ve got some very big initiatives underway to help even more Aussies look to God daily. This includes bringing Vision radio to at least 37 new regional towns, launching the high powered Hobart frequency and a big push around the Vision app, especially in our major cities. All this is potentially against a backdrop of ongoing disruption, so we value your prayers as we go about this work!

Do All Religions Lead to the Same Place?

Do All Religions Lead to the Same Place? Can Christians claim Jesus is the only way to God? These are tough questions that a lot of people will find offensive in our modern day culture of inclusivity.

Developing a Sense of Adventure in Kids

How do we develop a sense of adventure in our kids? For some of us it comes quite naturally, but for others it can be more of a struggle.

Your Money and the Federal Election

There is far more at stake in a federal election than just monetary policy. However, the Coalition has responded with a policy to address the needs of first-time home purchasers and retirees alike.
