In the movie The Passion of the Christ, we see every scary, violent, and bloody part of the crucifixion. It is a scene that is difficult for many to watch. I can just imagine that Jesus’ followers must have been devastated and overwrought with pain and suffering, as they witnessed their Saviour, the man who had changed their lives miraculously, die on the cross and then be laid to rest in a sealed tomb… But the story did not end there. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead. What does this mean for you and me? Right now, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and the risen One is offering us forgiveness and a new life with Him. Isn’t that amazing? If you are willing to open your heart and mind to Him, He is waiting to give you the gift of salvation, rebirth, and resurrection. This is an invitation to you, from the one and only Jesus who defeated death, who rules heaven and earth. Yes, you! Don’t wait three days, don’t even wait three hours. Jesus is waiting with His arms wide open to show you living hope!
