Romans 3:23

For all have sinned an fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23

Thank you again for joining with others across Australia in learning and meditating on Scripture through The Treasury Project.

We trust God will bless you as you commit His Word to your memory and allow it to penetrate deep into your heart.

Melinda shares her reflections on this verse…

As Christians, I think we can sometimes fall into the trap of being intimidated by the Bible, and thinking that it sets a standard we could never possibly live up to. In some ways that is true, and this is the exact reason we need Jesus. But this verse is so encouraging to me, because we ALL sin and fall short of the glory of God.

God sent us a saviour because He knew we would continue to sin, despite our best intentions. But as we grow and mature on our faith journey, we get better at resisting temptation. But it will always be there this side of Heaven, and we can take comfort in knowing that from the beginning of time until the end, it has been the story of mankind. But if we humble ourselves and admit our need for a saviour, there is grace and forgiveness to be found in Jesus.
