From Tuesday to Friday this week, we will be taking over Vision radio for the Visionathon year-end appeal. Visionathon is your opportunity to join with thousands of others to ensure we can keep going and growing.

The theme will be ‘Equipped & Ready” which is founded in Ephesians 4:11-16.

“So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

Phil Edwards, Vision Christian Media’s CEO is passionate about the diversity of Vision’s ministry to reach all Australians with the Gospel through media.

“My prayer for Visionathon is that there’ll be a whole lot of people who are galvanized to this mission, to take the Word of God and inject it into our country because, goodness me, don’t we need it!”

Every hour, every day, Vision connects the truth and hope of God’s Word to hearts across Australia, through radio, daily devotions, discipleshop resources and prayer when you need it.

Phil spoke with 20Twenty host Neil Johnson who asked Phil to describe just how important Visionathon was to Vision’s ministry.

“It’s really important Neil. The bottom line for us is that we’re supported by the general community. People who love what we do and value the Word of God,” Phil said, adding that it’s these people who are seeing how Vision is bringing that Word into people’s lives around Australia.
