Father Refuses to Let 6-year-old Son Live as a Girl, Charged with Child Abuse

Father and son

What happens when a couple is divorced and one parent wants their son to live as a girl, but the other doesn’t? That’s exactly what is happening currently in Texas.

Jeffrey Younger, has been taken to court by his ex-wife and charged with child abuse after he refused to affirm her decision to let their 6-year-old son transition to ‘Luna’.

Court documents reveal that James’ gender identity differs depending on which parent he is currently with. When he is with his mother he dresses as a girl, and she calls him ‘Luna’. When the boy is in the care of his father he insists on wearing boy’s clothes and “violently refuses to wear girl's clothes”.

Is this a case of true gender dysphoria? Or simply a young child’s desire to earn love and acceptance from both parents while being at the centre of a bitter custody battle?

In the CBN News video below, Dr. Michelle Cretella, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians shares that telling children there is a possibility that they were born in the wrong body "disrupts the very foundation of a child's reality testing."

James’ mother is also "seeking to require [Jeffrey] to pay for the child's visits to a transgender-affirming therapist and transgender medical alterations, which may include hormonal sterilisation starting at age eight."

In a world where the very fabric of the traditional family values our society was built on is being torn apart, these type of cases are will set precedence for future laws.

We can’t help but be reminded of this Bible verse every time we hear a story like this, which is sadly becoming more and more common.

Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV)
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
