Ravi Zacharias on Buddhism and Hinduism

When Thomas the Apostle went to preach the Gospel in India, he went to the land of 330 million deities.   This was rather poignant when it was Jesus who said to Thomas, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

“The reality about truth, is that truth by definition is exclusive – whether we like it or not,” Ravi shares in the video above.   Ultimately, Thomas paid the price with his life preaching that Jesus was the only God, not just one of many.

Hinduism often shares the message that it is an all accommodating religion, but it is not.  There are many differences between the various strains of Hinduism, but every Hindu believes in the same two things: karma and reincarnation.

Buddhism, which as birthed out of Hinduism, also has the common belief that it’s very accommodating, but this not true either.  Ravi delves more into the facts about these religions in the video above.

“Every religion is exclusive.”

The question has never been whether religions are exclusive or not, the question is what can they answer to defend that which they claim to be true.

So, if Hinduism and Buddhism can’t ask these questions, how does Christianity answer Jesus’ claims about being ‘the way, the truth, and the life’?  Watch the above video to find out.
