A Hobart city councillor has been referred to Tasmania's Anti-Discrimination Commissioner over gender-related comments. Councillor Louise Elliot publicly described a council workshop on inclusion and gender diversity as "re-education which was imposed on her." Vision’s radio station in Evandale, Tasmania, went to air on the 20th of April, 2023. This is Vision’s 60th radio station out of the 100 stations 2021-2023 project and the 799th station overall.
In November, 2022, we launched our high-frequency radio station in Hobart, along with billboards and signage on the local buses, to announce this milestone. It’s been exciting to get feedback from people who are noticing Vision’s stamp on Tasmania as they send in photos they’ve captured while on their daily rounds.
