Alisa from Rockhampton in Queensland joined Robbo and Leah during Visionathon to share her grief and struggles after losing her brother and how listening to Vision turned her life around.

‘When my brother died last year, I made the decision to stop being a lukewarm Christian,’ said Alisa.

In trying to deal with her grief, Alisa found that everything she was listening to was not helpful, especially in her decision-making.

‘I tuned in to Vision Radio in the car, and I haven’t looked back. I don’t listen to anything else. I love the music on Vision,’ said Alisa. ‘There was a story playing, I think it was Toby Mac, when I was on my way to a dentist appointment with my mum. It was about him explaining the loss of his son. It helped my mum and me. I was late to the dentist appointment because we were too busy listening. We needed to hear the ending.’

Alisa is a busy Mum, but she sees the importance of listening to Vision every day. She tries to get to school early so she can listen to Jeff Vines preaching on Vision.

‘Getting God into my everyday life is just amazing. Vision’s really helped me with the process of renewing my mind,’ said Alisa.

Vision has had another answer to prayer and is about to extend its reach to 10 million people through DAB+ Digital Radio in Sydney and Melbourne. The planned start date is 1 January 2024, but we must raise funds for this amazing opportunity. Imagine how many more people we can help, like Alisa?

Will you join us in Standing Together For the Gospel this Visionathon? Not only will you be helping to raise much-needed funds to keep Vision going and growing, your gift will also be helping remote Indigenous communities in Australia.

Special announcement!

A generous Vision partner has offered to pay for copies of the new Plain English Version of the Bible, distributed through Bible League, to be given to support the work of Indigenous evangelists in Australia. Each person who donates, whether $10 or $10,000, will be putting a Bible into the hands of an Indigenous Australian.

As Alisa described, it’s so powerful when we hear words at the right time. Your donation to Vision enables that to happen all across Australia as we reach out to people with words of life and hope and even the lyrics of the songs we play.

Now is a great time to call in on 1800 316 316, at vision.org.au or in the free Vision Christian Media app. You’ll be helping people look to God daily as we believe and work together.
