By Phil Edwards, Vision Christian Media CEO
It’s my conviction that God is leading this ministry to be a conduit to bring Christians together to earnestly seek God in prayer and put their faith into action. Scripture and experience shows that when we do that, God moves. In May we used the wide reach of Vision Christian Radio to bring together church leaders along with thousands of Vision listeners to pray together live on air.
There is no doubt that Australia needs revival.
These live broadcast events had a single purpose – to bring Australian Christians together in prayer. Across 5 days we held events in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and then from the heart of our country, Alice Springs.

God is on the move through this ministry and I am really excited by what God has started to do as he uses us once more to bring thousands of Christians together to pray for a fresh national revival.
A special thank you!
It takes a team to pull something like this together. We're thankful for our friends at Christian Super who helped to cover our travelling costs. It's a great example of how Christian Super is working to build the community. It really is like the radio ads say - Super that's changing the world! For more, see www.christiansuper.com.au
Also to our friends at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association who, along with the local Churches in Alice Springs, coordinated Reality 2016 - and looked after our team amazingly! For more about their work, or to inquire about holding an outreach in your area, see www.billygraham.org.au
Revivals in Australia
Many Australians believe our nation has been untouched by revival. However there have been many regional moves of God. Revivals
have occurred in small towns like Wuddina (SA) in 1969, Tumbarumba (NSW) in 1972, Balranald (NSW) in 1975 and Broken Hill (NSW) in
1982. A decade-long revival swept across the Indigenous communities of the Northern Territory and northern Western Australia from 1979 onwards.
In each of these revivals, God powerfully met many human needs—healing those who were angry and resentful, disappointed, sick, depressed and suicidal. The marginalised, dispossessed and excluded all encountered God in life-transforming ways. Communities
and families once convulsed by drink, drugs and violence discovered peace, experienced by their immediate friends, neighbours and family members.
‘Revival is waking up to the reality about God. The reality is, to put it simply, that we are not at the centre of the universe, God is. Ultimately God is not here for our benefit, we are here for His... Revival is concerned more with delivering a bumper harvest of the fruit of the Spirit than with any manifestations or gifts of the Spirit... It brings healing, saving, forgiving, refreshing, and multiplying those who
flock to worship Him.’ *
Many Christians have heeded the prophecy of Smith Wigglesworth that the last great move of God would be birthed out of Australia. But let us not forget what Australia’s legacy already is: to bathe the seeds of revival in prayer.Just as the Welsh awakening was pollinated from prayer in Australia, let us pray together before God’s throne for an Australia-wide revival to blossom out of these prayer events and Reality 2016 in Alice Springs; and spread to the wider world.
