One of the world’s most famous missionaries is still bringing the Good News to isolated tribes in South American jungles.
Bruce Olson told his amazing story about how he first took the Gospel to the Motilone and Bari Indians in Colombia as a teenager 60 years ago, in his best-selling book ‘Bruchko’
He almost single handedly brought around 100,000 indigenous people to Christ.
Despite being 80 years old, Bruce is still carrying on his mission.
His team is in 15 new locations, spreading the story of Jesus and meeting the social needs of the people.
Charisma News reports he plans to raise tens of thousands of dollars to train and equip others to protect jungle tribes from sickness and disease
Bruce says these tribes are isolated, and when colonisation moves into their areas, it threatens their health.
But he doesn’t want to use the gospel to destroy any traditional values they may have.
