One of the top quarterbacks in American football is encouraging his ten million social media followers to heed the words of Scripture and pursue the peace of God.
Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks posted a one minute video quoting Philippians 4:7 that’s gone viral on Twitter and Instagram.
The verse says the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Jesus Christ.
Wilson tells his fans that’s the kind of peace he wants.
The 32-year-old guided the Seahawks to the Super Bowl title in 2012 after telling followers God has him here on Earth for a very particular reason.
Wilson is married to singer Ciara who has also spoken out about her Christian faith.
The couple have been big donors to charities during the pandemic.
