When she was merely seven years of age, God gave this young girl a vision. She had been asking her mum about God, and decided to give her heart to Him. The young girl had been kneeling beside her mother, when she saw a vivid picture of a young woman preaching to dark skinned people in a shed. “That’s you, girl!” she heard God speaking to her gently. At that moment the young realised God was saying to her, that one day she would become a missionary.
The girl grew into a young woman and this vision led her to pack her bags and move from her hometown in country Victoria to Fiji, where she’s lived since 1999.
She arrived in a new country with nothing but the hope that she could make a difference, and the realisation that she was standing in the very shed God had shown her in a vision when she was a little girl.
“I’m a Bible teacher, that’s my passion.” She refers to herself as being ‘practical’ and when she first arrived in the country, she saw the potential in youth who were being under utilised.
A couple of decades later, and God’s promises keep coming to reality. She founded the Northern Christian Training Centre, in Fiji. The centre brings hope to the people in the South Pacific by supporting, equipping and empowering them through education, employment and ministry opportunities.
Her story shows what greatness we can achieve under God’s guidance. “I just kept walking the way God led me,” she said. “And it all worked out.”
“Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.” – Psalm 25:4-5 NKJV
