A woman shares the story of her sister’s struggle with substance abuse and depression:

Her sister had lost faith in God. She had tried to give up alcohol, but was still struggling with substance abuse, and a partner who was also an addict. No matter what she did, nothing could overcome her depression. In time through persistence and by listening to God’s Word, she turned back to the Lord, and despite her love for her partner, left the relationship for her own good.

At first, the partner was very aggressive toward her, but miraculously, he eventually gave his own life to the Lord. “It’s all very new to him, and he’s struggling, but you know, they’re winning, because she’s doing it God’s way.”

She describes her sister as “on fire for God”, and said she now gives her scriptures to read. It’s a remarkable testament to the power of ministry to change lives for the better, even when it seems like there’s no hope.
