Letter's from CEO, Phil Edwards

Can you connect with us again soon?

Dear friends,

Thanks for reading this letter—it’s simply to ask a small favour.

As you know, Vision connects the true hope of God’s Word to Aussies each day through broadcast, print and digital media.

We’re able to do it through the generous support of people like you. We’re really thankful for everyon’es support, but it’s possible we haven’t heard from you for a while now. We are conscious of being good stewards of the gifts we’ve received, so we like to keep in touch from time to time to know if the The Word for Today and/or Vision180 devotionals you receive from us still meet your needs.

So here’s the favour—can you connect with us again soon? We’d love to know…

  • If you still want to receive The Word for Today or Vision180? (assuming you are a current subscriber)
  • If we can pray with you about anything?

Of course we’d also appreciate if you would consider a donation toward our work, too, as you are enabled. Your support will help Vision continue shining the bright light of God’s Word to our nation in a time when so many people are grappling for truth and hope.

Thank you for helping.

PS I’ve included some testimonies below to encourage you about how God is still on the move today, right here in Australia. Please pray with us that many more people will come to know the only true hope of Jesus Christ.

Testimonies of Aussies you’ve helped reach with the Truth and Hope of Jesus Christ through Vision.

Miners getting serious about faith — Catherine, WA
‘We live in a relatively small town in the Pilbara. We were unable to attend church for over a year and Vision sustained us with great teaching. I love hearing people’s testimonies and sharing in the prayers you pray with your listeners on air. Vision has also opened my world to same amazing Scriptural teachers that I have been able to search for online and download their podcasts for long trips when Vision reception is not available. My kids love your Kids Stuff programme.

As well as all that, I have to add that we have lived in this mining town for over four years now and I am amazed at how often I hear other mums comment that they have the station on all the time in their home. Not to mention the number of times I hear of men on the mines who listen to Vision and who are then prompted by God to get more serious about their faith. Apparently Vision is the only station that has reception down in the pit!’

A touch from Jesus — Ailsa
Thank you SO MUCH for praying for my son. He was suicidal when I sent the request. He had been very depressed for a few days over a traumatic event in his life and was spiralling downward. When I saw the advertisement in a copy of The Word for Today a few days ago, I thought I would send a request to your prayer team. Jesus has really touched him and done a deep inner healing and no longer feels depressed let alone suicidal—even he is finding it amazing!

Out of jail a lot wiser — Robert
My grandson ended up in jail. We sent your youth devotional to him and he came out of jail as lot wiser. Vision played a big part in that.

Help in tough times — Carina, TAS
Thank you for producing The Word for Today and WORD4TODAY [in Vision180 magazine]. The devotionals have helped me during some of my toughest times. It has reminded me time and time again that all things are possible with our great God. My teenage daughter has WORD4TODAY and it’s the one devotional she really enjoys reading. Thank you, your work has been a blessing to us as I’m sure it has been to many others.

Lighting up the day — Anja, NT
I’m an eleven year old girl from a town called Ti Tree, and we broadcast Vision radio from the roof of our house! I love Vision because it is there 24/7, and I love the cheery Vision team always there to light up your day—thank you so much.

Renewed faith, mind and heart — Kelli, NT
Vision came into my life in 2015 when I was searching for a radio station to listen to that had songs with no swearing, as my little ones were home with me during this time. Listening to the testimonies with Shelley really impacted me. I started to understand the Christian faith that had been all so confusing for me growing up. Before long Jesus touched my heart one day when I asked Him for help and from that moment on I had a renewed faith, a renewed mind and a renewed heart. I have been listening to Vision pretty much every day since… I feel extremely blessed that God chose me and brought me back to Him.
