A Christian baker who has been in a long running dispute with Colorado authorities over refusing to create cakes for LGBT celebrations, has lost another battle.

A State Court of Appeals found Jack Phillips was wrong to refuse a customer’s request for a pink and blue cake to celebrate their gender transition.

The three judges ruled Mr. Phillips violated Colorado’s Anti-Discrimination Act.

They said the baker’s wife Debra originally accepted the order and only reversed that decision when she was told what it was for.

The judges added that the Phillips were not being forced to present a message that contradicts their faith because the cake “expressed no message.”

Mr. Phillips’ lawyers from Alliance Defending Freedom plan to appeal the decision.

They claimed Colorado officials have been targeting the baker for more than a decade and misusing state law to force him to say things he does not believe.

Mr. Phillips won a US Supreme Court case in 2018 after refusing to bake a wedding cake for a same-sex couple in 2012.

Same sex marriage was not legal in Colorado at the time.
