Colin Buchanan’s Christmas Concert Tour

by | Sun, Nov 20 2022

After 25 years of children’s ministry singer Colin Buchanan has launched his first ever Australian Christmas concert tour.

He says he’ll be “dashing through the bush in a rusty Holden ute.”

But in reality he’ll be performing in all capital cities except Darwin as well as larger regional centres in the eastern states.

Colin says Christmas is a great time to take the Christian songs he has written for kids into the wider community.

He told the New Life online newspaper that God has wired him to be able to take the truth of Scripture and simplify it into entertaining songs for children.

He says the tour will celebrate Jesus with a huge Christmas Cheer.

The Irish-born and Sydney-raised singer is Australia’s most successful solo Christian artist with multiple awards including nine Golden Guitars.

He started out as a teacher and lived in New South Wales rural communities where he was inspired to write songs about the country lifestyle and the characters he met.

He was also a popular Play School presenter.

His Christian music for kids is in high demand around the world.

Colin performs in Wagga Wagga on Sunday night (November 20) after already playing in Taree and Newcastle.

He’ll then resume his tour in Tasmania on December 1 and criss-cross the country before ending the Christmas concerts on the Gold Coast on November 19.

Colin will play four other concerts in Tamworth throughout January.
