Evangelical Leaders Blacklisted

by | Fri, Sep 30 2022

Nearly half of American Evangelical leaders say they have been disinvited, blacklisted or excluded because of their faith.

A National Association of Evangelicals survey reveals 48% claim to have been “cancelled”.

President Walter Kim told The Christian Post cancel culture is a way of expressing disapproval.

He said it can make church leaders wary of communicating their positions on complex issues for fear of retribution.

Facebook recently blocked a pastor’s paid ad for a sermon titled: “Woke or Awake.”

Others were found ‘guilty by association’ such as being regular speakers at Christian universities.

Some said being open and willing for respectful conversations is the way to engage.

Mr. Kim noted that’s what Jesus did.

He added that no one should be punished for their beliefs.
