A 1000-page report compiled by Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee in the US Congress suggests the FBI is “rotted at the core” for targeting pro-life activists and parents concerned about their children’s education.
The report alleged widespread politicisation and misconduct, claiming the bureau manipulated domestic violent extremism statistics for political purposes and downplayed investigations and ‘serious allegations of wrongdoing’ leveled at the President’s son Hunter Biden.
The report said: “The problem lies not with the majority of front-line agents who serve our country, but with the FBI’s politicised bureaucracy.”
It found a multitude of whistleblowers alleging a “systemic culture of unaccountability” with an anti-life agenda and a bias against conservatives.
The whistleblowers described the bureau as beset by “rampant corruption, manipulation, abuse … and misuse of its powers.”
The Christian Post reports that the file expressed concern over the FBI allowing attacks on pro-life facilities and churches to go on unabated while deploying massive resources to arrest a few pro-life activists over relatively minor incidents that happened outside abortion clinics last year.
15 vehicles and 25 agents were sent to one activist’s home, where they pointed guns at his wife and seven children while yelling and pounding on the door.
The FBI insisted to The Christian Post that it continues to go about its business in a politically neutral way and follows the facts without regard for politics.
The report said the bureau and its parent agency the Department Of Justice (DOJ) also targeted parents opposed to a far-left educational curriculum.
It noted that US Attorney General Merrick Garland directed law enforcement agencies to address a “disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence” towards school officials.
That was after the National School Boards Association likened parents voicing their concerns to “a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes” and suggested the federal government use counter-terrorism laws to prosecute them.
The report ended: “Even at this early stage, one startling conclusion is clear: the FBI and the DOJ have become political institutions.”
