A Florida health agency has warned state pharmacies not to dispense abortion pills.
It’s in response to US health regulator the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allowing women to obtain abortion drugs over the counter.
Two major pharmacy chains have already embraced the idea of dispensing the drugs at their stores.
The State’s Agency for Health Care Administration stressed that Florida laws prevent women from obtaining the drugs at pharmacies.
It warns that willfully violating these laws could result in criminal penalties.
