Russian Christians going door-to-door in freezing temperatures have reached thousands of families with the Gospel.

The Christians have been a part of the Christ Over COVID campaign by the Slavic Gospel Association (SGA).

Christian Newswire reports, over the last few months the campaign has helped evangelical churches bring hope amid the ongoing pandemic.

SGA president Michael Johnson says in God’s providence, COVID-19 is actually opening doors for the Gospel in Russia and the former Soviet Union.

Churches partnering with SGA have delivered free groceries, supplied a staggering 3 million meals, and distributed Bibles to almost 40,000 people.

Mr Johnson says the combination of Christian compassion and the power of the Gospel in action “is melting even the hardest and most frozen of hearts.”
