Formula One driver Romain Grosjean is already eager to get back in the driving seat just days after his life-threatening crash at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
His burnt hands are still bandaged so he won’t be racing in this weekend’s Sakhir Grand Prix at the same track.
Haas teammate Kevin Magnussen says Grosjean was talking about returning while still in his hospital bed.
“I went to see him straight after the race on Sunday, literally a few hours after his escape from those scenes on the track, and already then it was like immediately, he was talking about wanting to get back in the car,” Magnussen says.
The sport’s governing body FIA says it will take two months to publish the accident report into Grosjean’s crash at more than 220 km/h.
