A U.S megachurch has baptised 589 people across all its sites over one weekend.
Premier News reports Elevation Church has 23 sites and more than 25,000 people attending.
In the run up to the day the church encouraged people to think about committing their lives to Christ and declaring that publicly through baptism.
The church pastor Steven Furtick, posted on social media that “baptism is a public declaration of an inward decision to follow Jesus, and if you’ve never taken that step of faith, we’d love to celebrate with you
As a result, 589 people stepped forward to do so on August 8 as part of its “Raised to Life” Weekend.
