Trans World Radio reports an explosion in the number of radio-based home groups across Bangladesh.
After one year of activity, 330 groups were in operation, but as of December last year, that number swelled to 1,687.
The Bangladesh church lacked trained leaders to evangelise and equip locals, but with the establishment of the radio groups, believers are being discipled and training is being provided to church leaders.
Bible-study programs are distributed on audio players or SD cards for mobile phones.
One church pastor says the radio home kits have greatly helped his evangelism, with faith growing as the group comes together to listen to the programs and work through the lessons.
He says at least 40 people have received Jesus, while another 26 have been baptised.
