Sydney is bracing for a week of industrial chaos with the Transport, Nurses and Teachers Unions all taking action.

Today is the final day the Government can avert industrial action that will cause disruption to trains from tomorrow.

The Rail, Tram and Bus Union will slow trains down to 60 kilometres an hour tomorrow morning and then by Friday no foreign built trains will operate meaning a revised timetable and fewer services.

Nurses take stop work meetings tomorrow.

And on Thursday for the first time both Public and Catholic School teachers will strike at the same time, over the Government’s pay rise cap.

The Government may attempt to take action in the Industrial Relations Commission, but the Teachers Federation has previously ignored directions.
