The ‘Tasmania Celebration With Will Graham’ is being hailed as a huge success after thousands turned out to hear the American evangelist.
More than 5,300 people attended four days of Christian events featuring Billy Graham’s grandson in Hobart and Launceston over the past two weekends.
Nearly 900 of them made a decision for Christ after hearing Will Graham preach the Gospel.
Rodney Trinidad from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, told Vision Radio it was a major logistical challenge.
He was impressed to see 140 Tasmanian churches join up to ensure the events ran smoothly..
He said: “It’s been the highlight of my experience in Tassie to see how churches when they come together for the purpose of proclaiming the Gospel, a ripple effect of the unity of churches is going to point people to Jesus.”
Mr Trinidad pointed out that hundreds of Tasmanians who didn’t make a commitment, still got to hear the Gospel for the first time.
