On the importance of Jerusalem and Israel, Dr Kameel used the funeral of former Israeli president Shimon Peres as an example.
“When he died in 2016, seventy countries were represented at his funeral.”
And, “Israel’s prime minister gets more visits than any other world leader apart from the US president.”
Also, what’s with this convoluted Burdensome Stone tour title? Is it a burden in itself?
Dr Kameel Majdali said it comes straight out of the book of Zechariah.
“Over the last 25 years I’ve been asked to speak here in Australia on the Middles East. Un-churched people and the irreligious are interested as well.”
“And this city of Jerusalem is constantly, constantly in the news,” said Dr Kameel.
As far as 2017 in concerned what does the Bible say about things that happen in the Last Days? How relevant are Bible prophecies? And who can you trust to present right perspectives on these issues?
Three big questions with one scholar equipped to provide the right answers. Renown Bible teacher Kameel Majdali who’s partnering with Vision on his annual tour of Australia spanning seven and a half weeks, has been bringing people in cities and remote regional areas up to date with global trends.
Commenting on the tour, his most extensive outreach so far, Kameel is again witnessing people travelling great distances to attend his meetings where he’s sharing about what God is doing in the world today.
On the importance of Jerusalem and Israel, Kameel used the funeral of former Israeli president Shimon Peres as an example.
“When he died in 2016, seventy countries were represented at his funeral.”
“Israel’s prime minister gets more visits than any other world leader apart from the US president.”
Kameel pointed to the city of Jerusalem with its population still shy of a million people, and with none of the ingredients of greatness, such as ports, resources, and roads, and yet it attracts so much attention.
“Zechariah tells us that this would be the case in the Last Days,” Kameel informed, adding the city is going to become a burdensome stone for all nations.
Kameel said Jerusalem, with all the global attention it gets, is going to become the global focus and global obsession in the days ahead.
“So in Zechariah 12:3 ‘And I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people. And all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”
He said the Scripture describes what we’re seeing with our eyes and hearing with our ears in the daily news.
This is Bible prophecy that Kameel Majdali is adamant will begin to do what it’s meant to do.
“That is to wake up the sleepers, sober up the drunkards, and be a light for us shining in a dark place.”
Kameel was keen to explain what makes a Scripture such as this authentic in the light of so much deception and ‘fake news’ in the current post truth era.
“As far as being sure that we’re living in these prophetic times, the fact is we are in the Last Days.”
“In 1 John 2:18 it says, ‘Little children it is the last hour.”
Kameel said the last hour started with Jesus at the time of His crucifixion and resurrection and continues on to our time.”
“Yes, it maybe two-thousand years but in the light of eternity it’s only a weekend. ‘A day is a thousand years and a thousand years is a day to God,” Kameel acknowledged.
We can also be assured of the prophecy’s legitimacy after the first prophecies involving the first coming of Jesus were fulfilled to the letter and in detail.
He said the Hebrew prophets have an accuracy rate of one hundred percent.
“Because of that and the resurrection of Christ, and because Christ said I’ve come to fulfill these things, and that the Scripture cannot be broken. Therefore, we can have equal confidence about prophecies talking about the coming earthly kingdom as well as the coming again of the King Himself to earth.”
Dr Kameel Majdali confirmed this quoting 2 Peter 1:19 ‘We have a more, sure word of prophecy.’
But he warned of people who are capitalising on these things and making predictions that don’t come to pass.
To that end Kameel said there are safeguards in place to make sure we don’t get wrong interpretations or outlandish ideas.
“We do need to be wise and sober, and there are things we cannot know for sure and we need to be honest.”
Kameel captioned these as valid uncertainties and said the good things are the certainties. They are the most important things.
“Like Jesus is Lord, Jesus is coming back.”

To reinforce what has been happening spiritually and politically in recent years in relation to prophecy Dr Majdali turned back to events that occurred in the 20th Century. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Azusa Street and the Welsh revival to name a few.
‘To me these events were actually prophesied in general. Acts 2:17 ‘In the last days I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh.’”
“Also having two world wars. And remember world wars had never happened before in history until the 20th Century.”
Kameel quoted Jesus when He said nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.
“I am told by reliable scholars this a Hebrew idiom for world wars. And even though we’ve had breakthroughs in medical science in terms of illness and the like, there’s also the danger of pandemics.”
Back to the 20th Century and World War 1 was followed a major pandemic. The Spanish Flu.
“More people died in this pandemic in peacetime than they died in a world war. That’s apocalyptic!”
Kameel admitted that when people at the time saw this, a few paid attention.
“Remember many others are sleeping as 1 Thessalonians 5 says. But for those who were awake, they said, ‘God is really moving here.”
He said if back then, if they were honest, they would add that they didn’t know the day or hour when the Lord would return.
“But we do know we should be watching, waiting, praying and occupying until He comes,” Kameel remarked.
But as far as being more sure than ever, the early part of the 20th Century saw some big pieces of the puzzle emerge and snap into place.
Dr Majdali said for us today the picture’s becoming clearer with the two dominating features namely Israel and Jerusalem.
In June this year the 1967 Six Day War commemorated its 50th anniversary. Today the whole city of Jerusalem is under Jewish rule, and more significantly the Old City of Jerusalem.
“The Old City which has the walls around it is the original Jerusalem. Everything else is relatively new suburbs of less than two centuries.”
“But we know that Jerusalem is a 4-thousand-year-old city. And when you consider that this entity Israel, just the name Israel, is found 26-hundred times plus in the Bible…”
“…and that Jerusalem linked to these people in Israel, 800 plus times in Scripture…”
“….we who understand the Bible is God’s Word, it speaks not just about the past and it doesn’t just speak about God Himself, it speaks about our future,” Dr Majdali outlined, adding that we need to see the link, take notice and be prepared.
“Remember the wise virgins were prepared.”
Next, ‘The Age of Trump’. But what on earth is an ‘Age of Trump?’
Dr Kameel Majdali stated the election of Donald Trump as president was an absolute shock, a surprise, and an upset victory.
More to the point Kameel said the Trump election has to do with three wars that are happening in the Last Days.
“The first war is the culture war. The second war is the Jihadist war from Nigeria to Pakistan. And of course the third war is Armageddon.”
On the first war, the culture war, Dr Majdali said Donald Trump is the most unlikely culture warrior imaginable.
“He’s from New York. He’s organically left-wing being from New York, and he has a past that would not necessarily endear him to Bible-believing Christians.”
“But this man won the support of about 80 percent of evangelical Christians in the United States in the 2016 election,” Kameel noted.
He said President Trump has come out very favourably for causes that are near and dear to the hearts of traditional value people.
Kameel also acknowledged the unprecedented hysteria and resistance to Donald Trump's election.
“In Australia he gets mostly negative press. But what is interesting, that on his first overseas trip he goes to the Middle East. Trump spoke to 50 Muslim leaders in Saudi Arabia.”
“Then he goes and prays at the Western Wall. No sitting US president has done this before. And what most people remember is his promise to move the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.”
Dr Majdali said President Trump was actually going to do it but suggests opposition to the move may have come from Israel.
Dr Majdali believes Donald Trump is giving us a reprieve from the normal Middle East political process.
“He certainly has commanded the respect of the Arab and Israeli leaders. But it’s early days.”
“He may set the stage for something very positive or not so positive. But it’s very interesting how the Middle East has responded to him in the six months he’s been in office.”

Kameel Majdali is a much sought-after Bible scholar, author and speaker who drew large crowds across the nation last year with biblical insights into current events during his Understand the Times tour of Australia. Like the “sons of Issachar” who understood the times and knew what to do (1 Chronicles 12:32) the many who attended were informed on what’s happening with Israel, Turkey, Iran, mass migrations to Europe and the rise of populist politicians like Donald Trump. Dr Majdali has dedicated his life to studying the intersection of Scripture and world trends.
Kameel is an ACC ordained Bible Teacher, former Principal of Harvest Bible College in Melbourne, has a ministry called Teach All Nations, and travels regularly to the Middle East and Europe</em</em
