West Coast midfielder Elliot Yeo is free to play Saturday’s match against Geelong after being cleared of a striking charge at the AFL tribunal.
The club argued most of the contract was with the chest of Collingwood’s Rupert Wills, and not the head and neck.
Eagles Assistant Coach Daniel Pratt says its a great outcome.
“Seeing the vision, it’s probably not a surprise but it could’ve easily gone the other way,” he says.
“So [we’ve been] lucky this time and sometimes in the past we’ve been unlucky with a couple, so we’ll take this one.”
Meantime, Richmond skipper Trent Cotchin returns from injury for tonight’s match against the Bulldogs at Metricon Stadium.
Tigers premiership players Daniel Rioli and Jack Graham have been dumped.
Jack Riewoldt who admits he’s been out of form has issued a warning, saying he’s confident he’ll get back to his best.
“I’m pretty realistic that I know that I’m still a good player; I just haven’t played very well over the last few weeks,” Riewoldt says.
