The Melbourne Storm has blown the Canberra Raiders away 30 points to 10, to book a spot in the NRL grand final.

It will be the club’s fourth grand final appearance in five years.

Storm captain Cameron Smith says he can’t wait to make his seventh appearance in a season decider, saying it’s relief to get through to the big game.

“We came up against a team that were [in] really good form; I know they’ve had to travel up here but they did a great job getting to this prelim final,” Smith says.

Raiders coach Ricky Stuart says their opponents were too strong and that he’s proud of his side’s season but disappointed they couldn’t go further.

Melbourne will play the winner of tonight’s preliminary final between the Penrith Panthers and South Sydney Rabbitohs in next weekend’s decider.
