The Australian cricket team has defeated England by three wickets in the third one-dayer at Old Trafford, to claim a 2-1 series victory.
Chasing 303, the Aussies looked down and out at five for 73.
Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey steered the ship, each scoring a century and combining for a 212-run partnership.
Maxwell says he threw caution to the wind when he got to the crease.
“Being the last batter, I suppose I had a bit of a licence to go for it from the start,” he says.
“Luckily enough, I hit the middle of the bat pretty consistently at the start of my innings and was able to run on for a bit of momentum there.”
Mitchell Starc hit the wining runs in the final over.
Maxwell was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series.
