Bad Weather Delays SpaceX Launch

Thursday, May 28th, 2020

This morning’s SpaceX launch has been put on hold, due to unfavourable weather in Florida.

The cancellation happened just minutes before it was due to take off.

Officials had been hoping that cloud and rain would clear enough for the mission to go ahead.

The mission was supposed to take two astronauts to the International Space Station, in what would have been the first time a private company sent humans into orbit.

USA Today reports, it also would have been the first time in almost a decade that the US launched astronauts into orbit from American soil.

The launch will be postponed for three days.
