Buddy Makes Shock AFL Return

Friday, May 18th, 2018

A shock return by one of the biggest names in the competition headlines the Round 9 teams in the AFL.

The senior coach ruled him out on Monday but Buddy Franklin is back for the Swans after a bruised heel; teammate Dan Hannebery also returns from injury.

They’ll line up tomorrow to play the Dockers, who welcome back Michael Walters and Nathan Wilson.

Rookie Taylin Duman and Danyle Pearce go out.

The Eagles have added five players for their top-of-the-table match against Richmond: star Nic Naitanui returns from his controversial suspension and Jeremy McGovern has overcome a calf issue.

The Tigers have included premiership duo Brandon Ellis and Shaun Grigg but are yet to make a change for Sunday’s blockbuster at Optus Stadium.

Melbourne vice-captain Jack Viney has been named for the first time this year, while Adelaide will missing four of their best 22 for tonight’s match with the Bulldogs.
