China is spying on and censoring teachers to make sure they don’t mention God.

According to a report from Bitter Winter, Chinese authorities monitor teachers and make sure they refrain from mentioning anything about democracy, freedom, religion, or God.

The Chinese Ministry of Education is demanding that teachers do not say or do anything at all against the Party line in their teaching.

Teachers in colleges and elementary schools are complaining about harassment.

One teacher (who can’t be named for security) says student informants planted in classes by authorities ensure teachers implement this order.

She says they are observed every day during class.

Bitter Winter is a publication for The Centre for Studies on New Religion, a human rights organisation which focuses on abuses by the Chinese Communist Party’s regime.
