A Christian professor who was abducted in Nigeria says his faith remains unshaken despite the traumatic experience.
Reports from International Christian Concern and Morning Star News say John Fatokun from Anchor University in Lagos was captured on January 18 while travelling from Jos to Nasarawa state.
Professor Fatokun was reportedly freed after 48 hours, with the university having offered serious prayers on his behalf.
An Anchor spokesman said captors had demanded the equivalent of almost $A70,000 as a ransom, from a ministry affiliated with the university.
After his release, Professor Fatokun told local media they’ll continue to work, pray, and raise godly men and women.
Nigeria leads the world in abductions and ransom demands, especially of Christians.
