Christian School Equips Ugandan Students for Future

Monday, June 10th, 2019

Set Free Ministries is building Light Academy High School and Vocational Centre in Uganda.

They already have a primary school and sponsor several other high schools from which 350 students graduate each year.

Students from age five to 20 will receive a Christian education at Light Academy and learn both household and career skills.

The ministry’s Dean Vader Mey says it’s especially important to keep children in Uganda in school after primary school.

He’s told Mission Network News girls aged 12 or 13 are often sold into human trafficking due to extreme poverty in the region.

Upon completion the academy will be a boarding school providing care for up to 1,200 children in need
