At least 500 Christians have been killed in coordinated door-to-door attacks in Ethiopia since June.
Members of a Muslim youth movement have allegedly gone on a killing spree in some parts of the Oromia regional state, Barnabas Fund reports.
Some of the militants held lists of Christians and were helped by authorities to find individuals – particularly those actively involved in supporting the Church.
They sought out and slaughtered Christians, and children were forced to witness their parents being brutally murdered.
Christians’ businesses and houses were vandalised or burned down, with thousands of traumatised survivors fleeing for their lives.
