Christians Urged to Remember the Poor This Christmas

With the likelihood of another record-breaking Christmas sales period in 2020, Christians are being urged to lead the way in remembering the world’s poor.

Humanitarian agency Gospel For Asia says for the world’s poor, Christmas is a time when they are forgotten.

GFA founder K.P. Yohannan told Christian Newswire, millions of children across Asia won’t even know it’s Christmas.

He says that Christmas Day for them will be spent just like any other day – scavenging through rubbish dumps for scraps and recyclable materials just so they can feed their families.

GFA has called on Christians to remember the least as they prepare their Christmas feast.

Last year, through GFA’s Christmas Gift Catalogue, more than 260,000 gifts such as chickens, goats, and sewing machines were given to some of the poorest families in Asia.
