The Archbishop of Wales has urged churches to join in the government’s Armistice celebrations by ringing their bells to mark the centenary to the end of the First World War.
Sunday 11th November will mark 100 years since the guns fell silent.
The Government is also asking churches to join in with the national bell ringing at 12.30pm, with a second opportunity to ring church bells at 7.05pm as part of an event organised by the Battle’s Over project.
Archbishop, John Davies, says it’s unlikely there’ll be a family in Wales that was not affected directly or indirectly, by the horror of the First World War.
In the evening 1,000 buglers will sound the Last Post at WW1 Beacons of Light locations across the nation and UK overseas territories.
